Summer is officially here — the time for making memories, having fun, and living life any way you can. Coincidentally, it seems that every year when the weather gets hot, a song (or two) comes along, adding to the soundtrack of our lives while forever encapsulating the feeling, the style, and the vibe of that one summer.
Speaking of which, it’s been 14 years since Beyoncé’s debut solo single “Crazy in Love” hit number one on the Billboard charts and set the summer of 2003 ablaze while cementing the fact that Beyoncé would be one artist to definitely keep an eye on. Remember how it had listeners, celebrities, and even your mom trying to do that damn dance?
Music’s come quite a way since then and no matter how much it evolves or shifts, the prevalence of the summer jam remains constant.
