Every now and again, when my energy is off and the days feel particularly long, I remember this sign and how it stopped me in my tracks. I was driving to work, mind racing, trying to take inventory of everything on my plate while also worrying about what was next. Was my hard work paying off? Was I foolish to trust the timing of my life? Would I ever stop worrying?
Within seconds of making what the GPS said was to be my right turn, I looked left and saw my answer. EVERYTHING WILL BE OK. I immediately pulled over feet away from the words, got out of my car, and paused for a moment. I took a deep breath, exhaling for what seemed like five minutes. The anxiety and heaviness left my body, my shoulders fell, and momentarily, I felt restored. Before getting back in the car, I snapped a photo as a reminder that I still keep close today.
Life is hardly easy, and it doesn’t come with a road map. But, if you keep going and keep your head on a swivel, you’ll see the signs as you travel.
